Ease the transition to elder care
An estimated one in three working adults has caregiving responsibilities for aging parents, in-laws, grandparents or other relatives. The effects on caregivers’ work and lives can be dramatic – in fact, they’re three times more likely to suffer from depression than non-caregivers.
Sometimes, asking for help is the kindest thing you can do – for yourself and for the elders in your care. Our Student and Family Assistance Program offers Elder Care Consultation & Referral services to provide support and customized referrals for services including:
- In-home and community care, including emergency response systems, home-delivered meals, chore services, transportation, home health care, and more
- Residential facilities
- Respite care
- Support groups
- Financial options, including Medicare and Medicaid
- Bereavement support
- Hospice care
- Geriatric case management
It’s never too early – or too late – to explore your options. Call us at 800-236-3231 to discuss your family’s needs, or complete the Elder Care Assisted Search form online.
