Named for the president emeritus of Henry Ford Health System, the prestigious award recognizes health care leaders who have demonstrated remarkable contributions, exceptional values and unwavering commitment to improving the industry and public health.

“I nominated my esteemed colleague and friend because I can think of no one more deserving in our field,” said Advocate Health CEO Eugene A. He succeeds Woods, the 2022 Gail L. Warden winner. Skogsbergh will be honored at a November ceremony in Chicago alongside the other 2023 Warden winner, Melinda L. Estes, president and CEO of Kansas City-based St. Luke’s Health System.
