For the past three years, Double Good has donated more than $1 million in in-kind donations of their made-to-order popcorn to teammates at Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care through its Donate Joy program.
As a product-based fundraising company powered by technology, Double Good is dedicated to raising joy for America’s youth. When customers purchase one of Double Good's unique popcorn flavors through an individual fundraiser, organizers receive half of every dollar sold to put toward the fundraising cause of their choice. Making the treat “doubly” good, customers can also purchase popcorn directly from Double Good's website to support the Double Good Kids Foundation, a non-profit focused on tilting the playing field for children with special needs.
Double Good’s donations to Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care have been spread across various teammate recognition events, thanking them for their efforts and encouraging small moments of rest to recharge.
“In 2023 alone, we were able to donate 106,000 bags of our delicious flavors to more than 50 different Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care locations,” says Dan Giancola, Vice President of Donations at Double Good. “Taking a break now and again is vital to making sure employees can bring their best selves to the table in every element of life. I’d encourage every teammate to enjoy a few moments with a fresh bag of Double Good popcorn as a moment to understand how much they are appreciated. We have a flavor for everyone’s preference and hope that with each snack break teammates can relax with the indulgent flavors they love.”
Extending their commitment to the community, Double Good’s Donate Joy celebrates healthcare professionals for their dedication and service – providing joy that's twice as nice to hometown heroes.
“The Double Good Donate Joy program launched in 2020 to spread joy to the educators and healthcare professionals that were working to unselfishly care for America’s youth in extremely trying conditions," says Giancola. “We created the program to recognize dedicated youth advocates, offering customers the opportunity to donate purchased popcorn while continuing to support individual fundraisers. Partnering with Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care is not only about bringing joy to employees but also about showing appreciation for the hard work they do each and every day.”
