Scott Rissmiller

Scott has over 25 years of experience in clinical leadership, quality and safety, virtual care and care redesign and standardization. Scott oversees Advocate Health’s Medical Groups inclusive of Operations, Nursing, Quality & Safety and other areas to drive clinical excellence and integration on an enterprise scale. He joined the organization in 1997 for his residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, and his clinical experience includes serving as a hospitalist beginning in 2000, specializing in internal medicine. His work has led to the creation of the Carolinas Hospitalist Group and his becoming its president. He serves on the boards of NC MedAssist, Atrium Health At Home Charlotte and Riley’s Catch, and is past vice chairman of the board of Carolinas Physician Alliance.
